Our Story Begins in Chengdu, Sichuan

Even during his childhood in Chengdu, in China’s Sichuan province, Hanzhao Wu held a deep love of cooking. Apprenticing under Youren Huang, a famous chef in his hometown, he gained an even deeper appreciation for the varied and distinct tastes of Sichuan Cuisine.


Combining the learnings from his apprenticeship with his love of noodles, he developed his own signature dish, Seven Seasoning Noodles. These noodles served as the staple of Hanzhao’s first restaurant, ranked one of the top noodle houses in Chengdu. Hanzhao now brings his famous flavor to the United States.
